Nice staff and even better sushi. If your looking for some tasty bites without the neon lights and needless fuss you've found the spot!

Very bland sushi, I've had way better from other quick carry out places. Even the special rolls had no taste and barely any fish. Mainly cucumbers and rice.

Too busy to make fried rice. Seriously, this is what they told us on our take out order. After many years of being a customer, they just finally crossed the line. Frankly the owner has always been a curmudgeon, always acted like he was doing us a favor buying their only-okay take out food. We are so done with this place. Cheap food doesn't give them the right to be rude, which they usually are. The owner reminds me of a certain Seinfeld character who sold soup. Many will understand my reference.
Do yourself a favor, for take-out food, walk across the street to Shakou. More expensive yes, but MUCH better food, and they are nice! -

I usually only trust korean people to make my sushi. So, 5 stars all the way here. I've only ever had the sushi here, which is amazing and if I could steer away from being obsessed with it, I would have tried other stuff on the menu by now.

Why does this get 5 stars in my book? Because you get great quality sushi for a good price. Another huge plus is that every time I go, this place has been consistent in quality. When I come here, I get exactly what I expect and I love it. Note: this place specializes in take out (hence the express in the name), but you can sit down and eat in the restaurant. One thing I like is that there is an open kitchen. I don't come here for the décor or ambience, but solely for the delicious food.
On to the food itself:
I really like the Barrington roll because it has different kinds of fish, and the sauce used on it is delicious. I also usually get the udon because I love the noodles and broth, and the portions are a good size if you're feeling extra hungry (like I usually am). You can also order combos which lets you try various different sushi items at a good price. The chefs are always trying new things, which brings me to my absolute favorite thing I've ever tried here. The new Avocado Rice Bowl. While it looks small, it's incredibly filling. The rice is seasoned with a sauce so good I could eat it by itself, and each ingredient adds a different flare to your bite. What I love about this is that you're eating one dish, but getting so many different flavors as you pick and choose your mouthful.
I will be back!
